Prabhas to Relive Baahubali – The Epic Without Pressure | SS Rajamouli’s Recut Version Set for Global Release

The Baahubali epic, which has long been a part of India's cinema history and has had several cuts, is coming back with an even longer and grander version now, which is a 3-hour-45-minute merged and re-cut titled "Baahubali - The Epic." The film was directed by SS Rajamouli and the producer was Shobhu Yarlagadda; the edited version interweaves both parts, thus offering a continuous filmic experience.
As per the news reports, Prabhas—the actor who played both Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali—is looking forward to seeing the movie again, this time with no pressure of the box office expectations that were there during the original releases.
🎬 ‘Baahubali – The Epic’: A Reimagined Experience
Producer Shobhu Yarlagadda, in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, shared insights into the project and the cast’s enthusiasm:
“We’ve been in touch with everyone — Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia. And Prabhas specifically is very, very excited. He’s really looking forward to this.”
He added that while the original films came with enormous expectations due to their unprecedented scale and budget, this re-release allows Prabhas and the team to truly enjoy the moment.
“During the first two parts, there was a lot of pressure — how it would perform, what the audience would think. This time, Prabhas told me he’ll be able to enjoy the release because there’s no pressure attached to it.”
🌍 A Cinematic Phenomenon Returns
Baahubali isn’t just a movie — it’s a cultural event that revolutionized Indian filmmaking. The first film, Baahubali: The Beginning, broke multiple box office records and redefined regional cinema’s global reach. Its sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, went on to become one of India’s highest-grossing films of all time.
Now, with “Baahubali – The Epic”, Rajamouli and Yarlagadda aim to give audiences a refined and immersive experience that blends both films into one majestic narrative.
💵 US Re-Release Off to a Blockbuster Start
While advance bookings in India have just begun, the film’s US re-release is already creating waves. Early reports suggest that the movie has collected USD 330,000 in its opening weekend pre-sales and is expected to cross USD 1 million soon — a remarkable feat for a re-release.
Baahubali – The Epic is slated to premiere in the US on October 29 and release worldwide on October 31, 2025. The film is being distributed internationally by the same team that handled the global release of RRR, ensuring a wide and well-coordinated rollout.
